BROCHURE
This is an early stage in the use of a CASTBUSTER on a forearm/wrist cast. In this picture, the cast padding is already applied. A CASTBUSTER Sleeve (latex-free) is affixed to the underlying cotton padding. A brown thread is seen in this image to offer a contrast to the transparent tubing in this picture.

This picture is a view of the front of the forearm/wrist with a CASTBUSTER Sleeve in position prior to the application of cast. The CASTBUSTER Sleeve can also be applied to the medial and lateral sides of the forearm prior to cast application. Up to four CASTBUSTER Sleeves can be applied on a patient's forearm/wrist on the anterior/posterior and medial/lateral sides. Two CASTBUSTER Sleeves is adequate in young patients with a short arm cast.

This picture is a display of the CASTBUSTER Wire inside the applied latex-free CASTBUSTER Sleeve on top of the applied padding on a foraearm. This image is just a demonstration of the track established by the CASTBUSTER Sleeve. The CASTBUSTER Wire is inserted at the time of cast removal.

This picture is a demonstration of CASTBUSTER at the time of cast removal. The CASTBUSTER Wire is already in position to be connected to a pair of CASTBUSTER Handle.

The secret to the succesful use of the CASTBUSTER is in the technique. Read the section on the Tricks and Tips on using the CASTBUSTER.

This picture is a display of two CASTBUSTER Wires in position on a forearm/wrist cast - on the anterior and posterior sides. The CASTBUSTER Wire is recommended to be used as a single-use device for optimal performance. The CASTBUSTER Sleeve is also a single-use item.

These pictures demonstrate the use of a CASTBUSTER on the lower leg. In this picture, the cast padding is already applied. A CASTBUSTER Sleeve (latex-free) is affixed to the underlying cotton padding using PLASTERSTICKERS. In the case of the legs, the number of CASTBUSTER Sleeves applied will depend on the preference of the physician, or cast technician. You have the option of using a single length CASTBUSTER Sleeve on at least two sides of the leg, or using two separate CASTBUSTER Sleeves  on each side, one for the foot portion, and the other for the leg portion.
- One option is to run one CASTBUSTER Sleeve vertically from the top part of the leg to the foot exiting on the plantar surface, and another CASTBUSTER Sleeve that runs along the side of the foot from the toes to the heel exiting on the posterior part of the heel. In this case, you will use two CASTBUSTER Sleeves on each side of the leg.
- The second option is to run a single CASTBUSTER Sleeve from the top of leg that is curved at the ankle, and extends to the foot ending close to the toes. In this case, you are using just two CASTBUSTER Sleeves.
Up to four CASTBUSTER Sleeves can be applied to the leg - anterior/posterior or medial/lateral.

Remember, the success with the use of the CASTBUSTER is based solely on technique. It is not the amount of the pulling force that is applied that matters, it is the method of use of the CASTBUSTER. Watch videos of the CASTBUSTER in action. Learn more on the Tips and Tricks Section, or look out for our next scheduled training session/seminar.
